Client’s Objectives for Landscape:

The client wanted to extend their living space to the outdoors with a design solution that would complement their beautiful home’s interior living space and create an outdoor entertainment area to entertain family and guests at large parties comfortably.

Main Features:  

From relaxing to playing, the multiple features of this out-of-doors living space are able to accommodate large parties and features a destination fire pit, putting area, water feature, staircase, and upper patio space.

Major Challenges:

This landscape nests within a hillside where water would collect at the bottom. To prevent this, the solution was to build up an area large enough for a fire pit and direct water away from the house.

Special or Unusual Features:

We built up the landscape using large boulders to create a platform for an undulating putting green.

The client selected the large boulders themselves that were used to create a cascading staircase helping to shape a large water feature.
