Client’s Objectives for Landscape:

The client wanted a master plan developed by a reputable company for a comprehensive approach for the space; wanted all work to be completed by one general contractor.

The new space was to reflect the interior of the home, which had a more contemporary feel, but with warmth and some old world craftmanship. Additionally, the client wanted to increase the usable space, include some area for gardening or flower planting, and to make the trash cans not visible within the yard.

For comfort and safety, the client wanted shelter from the afternoon sun, lighting after dark for increased usage of the outdoor room and security during the evening.

Main Features of the Landscape Project:  

We created a sleek but warm patio space using large, thermal PA flagstone pieces set in a running bond pattern. A raised planter bed with room for flowers and gardening was built. The plantings complement the space with color and interest.

A sturdy vinyl gate was installed to provide more security from the street and doubles as hiding place for the waste bins.

Lighting was built into all the structures and after dark, transforms the entire area into a glowing entertainment space or to a relaxing space to unwind.

Special or Unusual Features:

The bubbling stone fountain provides a calming and relaxing ambience, is a focal point of interest and helps to drown out the noise from the nearby street. Listening to and watching the flow of water can be mesmerizing.

A white vinyl pergola creates a truly transformative room feel with the incorporated folding shade for maximum sun protection and comfort.

Complementary furnishings were added to the finished outdoor space to reflect the client’s style and to unite the indoors with the outdoors. The client delights in spending time relaxing and entertaining in their charming outdoor room.
